Happy 4th of July...And it was!!!!

We had a great 4th of July celebration at our house. We invited both Kevin and my extended family over for a BBQ, water fun and games. We had a great turnout and the kids had so much fun spending time with everyone. Kevin blew up a big play pool that Oma got us and he found a slip & slide so the kids had a great time with those to stay cool while we were getting the party started. Then a game of flag football begun and ended because the chow was ready! We had excellent food as always...Hamburgers, hot dogs, Baked Beans (by Granny), Potato Salad (by Oma), Corn on the Cob (by Grandma Dorothy), watermelon, and chips & dips. Also, Granny (& Papa to I think???) made 2 kinds of yummy homemade ice cream. Rocky Road, my favorite, and vanilla with heath bar chunks.

After dinner Bryce and Heidi got the games going with the sign game which is a favorite for our kids since Bryce introduced it about a month ago at another family dinner we had, and then a new game called Mafia. Daron really liked this one. There was also some balloon animal making going on amongst everything else and Oma was a fantastic help to bring all of that!!

Then we went out into the new backyard and watched the fireworks going on at Schnepf Farms. We were going to load up in the car and go watch in the field by Basha Highschool or Schnepf Farms, but we can see it perfect from here!!! YEAH! The weather was really nice and breezy and it was a great end to a great day!

It was a really fun time, glad the kids had a good time. It was great to visit with everyone and I brought home some of Oma's delicious potato salad. Thanks again for hosting.

Looks like fun, sorry we missed it. Austin and I just hung out at home after we went to dinner. He's not much for getting out of the house since his surgery, I had to bribe him to go to the movie this morning. Oh what fun! We missed you at the movies, we seemed so small in numbers! LOL
