Daron's Sneak Peek...

So far, Dad has been building you a closet (since your room has none) out of metal piping to stick to an industrial theme for you. He also upholstered a headboard for you that you can use until you are 6'5"...

The closet has two rods and to the right will be 6 red bins also, for socks, undershirts and boxers, belts, etc.

The bed has a light on each side of the headboard for all of that reading you like to do in bed!!! Your Dad thinks of everything! They each have their own pull string...

Your tv will have a shelf made to go over it to hold all of your gaming stuff...

Your end table for your alarm clock and your GLASSES at night!

To the right of your closet will be your desk with a bookshelf over the top of it also!

He may save some of the work for you to help with when you get home in case you have different ideas!!!

He's been working REALLY hard on this after work each night and on the weekends... :)

Yo-Yo's...

We have been making these things like crazy around here! I made 42 fthese for the little girls room, some for picture frames and more for this pillow I wanted to recycle from the older girls room. It had a fancy cat in the middle that said La-PURRRRR when we used in K&M room, so I covered up the picture with all of these colorful yo-yos. I love the way it turned out!


It really brightens up the old brown pull out couch!
Maddie made 2 headbands and is working on 3 more I think. She wore this one to church Sunday and looked great!


















This one is one that I made for everyone to share!!! I will be making more for the coming school year on headbands and clips for ALL of our girls!!! They will be helping I'm sure!

Blooming Beautifully...

I was talking to Kaitlin about ALL of the beautiful plants and trees we get to see out our windows everyday now! So, this is for her... & D-Dog!

Plums are coming off our trees now and peaches will be next from a tree out back, the middle of August or so!

Maddie Is Home!!!

We were expecting Maddie on Sunday last week and we got a surprise when we found out she was on her way on Saturday instead!!! At about 3pm we got a call from Shane & Erin saying they were 3 hours away or so! GREAT SURPRISE!!!!! We were happy to visit with them for awhile before they had to go on to visit their Grandpa in LA, and it was fun for Maddie to show them her new house. Her sisters were so excited to have her back that I think it took awhile for Emmy to let go of her. They have had lots of fun playing outside most of the day... drawing with chalk, playing hopscotch, playing house under the willow tree, riding scooters and bikes, etc.! We sure missed her and will be even happier to have everyone home in 2 weeks!

Emmy still does not have the fork and spoon thing down yet! She holds it with both hands, backwards most of the time, and usually ends up using her other hand to eat while holding the silverware for decoration I guess!

Which One of These is Not Like the Others????

Kevin picked out a wine bottle for me because he knew I'd love the colors of the label (yeah sure... can you pick which one I speak of???!). HILARIOUS!!!! We don't drink obviously, but this is funny!!! Bottled locally! Who would make this their wine of choice I ask? The bottle is cute though!

Welcome to Our New Place...

So, when you come to visit, because you know you all will sooner or later, this is our house as you pull up. I'm gonna walk you all through it room by room, especially since K&D haven't seen it yet! It is a simple one level farm house. It has beautiful foliage throughout the whole property and everything is in bloom! No desert landscaping here!!!

Master Bedroom...

I'm thinking about doing all different small / medium framed mirrors that I find at 2nd hand stores, vintage frames or even beveled edge mirrors, all around this iron wall hanging. I saw it in Pottery Barn magazine over a headboard and loved it, so I'll keep my eyes open when I'm at garage sales, 2nd hand stores and Pink Trash & Treasures of course! I will need to collect them as I find them... maybe about 5-7 depending on the sizes I come accross, it needs to be an odd number.

Love these doors... they are also accross the back of the house like the living room and dining room. We don't even have to run our A/C and it's JULY!!!!

Found this fun mirror and Old fashioned man and woman plaques at PT&T... love them!

I bought this mirror for Kevins new office when we were dating and it's been in our room since we got married. It's chocolate brown leather and kind of looks like a crocodile skin texture...

Bathroom has a great huge tub and seperate shower. The tub is so long that my toes don't reach the opposite side, and it's really deep too. The little girls play in the tub and shower like they are play houses... it's cute!

So... the other side of our room has a nice sitting area which we are using as Kevins office area. It's a little scary right now and we're organizing it so I'll post pics later!

Living Room...

I love this room... NO TV!!! Just good to come in here and sit to talk or relax in quiet peace! Our book shelves are in here for reading since it's a great room for that too! K&D will love it for that!

Dining Room...

Yes... it is table-less... maybe for Christmas!!!!

Love these doors! They are in the dining area and Living room (right next to eachother) and the doors on each side of the walk thrus open up and have screens to let fresh air in at the entire back of the house!!!
