My Favorite Day at the Beach!

We try to go to the beach on the day each week the kids get out of school early for some family time.  The weather doesn't always permit, but when we do get there we have a blast.  It is truly one of the places where everyone has a great time just being together and the best thing is there are no cell phones, computers, stereos, video games, ds games, etc. ... just sand, water, treats, and eachother!!!

There was a pod of dolphins not very far from where the break was on shore!!!  We have seen whales further out at times as well!  The beaches in Central CA are so great for seeing all kinds of things and never crowded... more  like private beaches!!!

2011 Snow Mobile Trip...

This year did not disappoint!  It was a total WHITEOUT!!!  It snowed the entire time we were At Daniels Summit this go round and was beautiful and COLD!  We rode snow mobiles, played in the snow, took lots of pics, ate REALLY good, etc. all kid free and clean-up free for me!!!!  Thanks Babe for winning this trip the last 2 years and being my hot date!  Can't wait for next year!!!

I am not a lover of hot dogs or corndogs... but Emmy wanted to try one on our road trip.   She was doing it wrong!  Other side is the yummy one I would think!

Scouting...

Daron and Kevin get to do A LOT of scouting together now since Kevin has been put in as Assistant Scout Master!  They have been having much fun together and with the whole group.  They do a campout at least once a month (much to my dismay!) and learn great things!  Here's a few pics of the campout in February I believe where they had to build a "lean to" tent and start their own fire, cook their own dinner/breakfast with only a few basic ingredients (nothing fance this trip), and build a signal fire, etc.   Daron and his friend Alec put the older scouts to shame!!!  So PROUD of him everyday!!!  Proud of Kevin too... he is so great with the boys!

Trip to Arizona...

There was a double rainbow that was HUGE on the way to AZ... this is the end of one of them that we got to stare at for over an hour!

We met Papa at Olive Garden for a quick bite... love him so much!  The kids love to see him...

Stayed at Pops house for 2 nights and had a blast.  He bought the kids some yummy donuts for breakfast and is ALWAYS the super host!  Sitting at this bar brings back so many memories from when we were kids...

We got to go to Payson to pick up Kaitlin & Daron New Years Eve Day at the last minute and it snowed like crazy!

On to bowling at Rock and Bowl for New Years Eve!  And... Maddie got to join us as well as Tawna & Nate & Faith & Chance & Granny & Grumpy!!!!

Still wearing the hats to welcome the new year on the first day of 2011!  Off to a very yummy breakfast at IHOP with Oma & Opa and a few other Goodwins... to drop off Maddie B. and get on the road!

It was a fun and crazy and quick trip, but a blast like always!!!  I really our families and feel bad we can't be there all of the time, but visiting makes it all ok!  Happy New Year!!!!!  :)
