Solvang Farmers Market...

Every Wednesday from 2pm to 7pm... be there or be square!!! Or, just miss out on the great fresh fruits, produce, cheese, breads, meat, etc.

Fresh flowers on my kitchen table every 2 weeks for a VERY insane low price...

Grapefruits, Oranges and plums (plums are from our trees out back!) were amoung the treasures this week... (anyone want us to ship them a butt load of plums??? With all of the older kids gone we can't get them all eaten and have way too many!)

Fresh strawberries (Lauren is now a strawberry snob and when we were in AZ would not touch them. Anyone that knows her knows she's crazy in love with strawberries, but now she's picky about where the best are!)
HUGE, GINORMOUS onions. beef steak tomatoes, and artichokes (not shown because we ate them) were also bought last Wednesday.
The artichokes are seriously as big as Emmys head!
We usually get.... artichokes, strawberries, oranges, grapefruit, onions, tomatoes, avacados (!!!!!), broccoli, cauliflower, snap peas, asparagus, etc., not to mention QUARK! Kevin has introduced us to this yummy cheese like spread. A local farm makes it in flavors and sells it at the market. We like the Lemon Quark with our strawberries! The older kids will eat this faster than we can get it I'm sure!
Loving this little place and all it's fun small town stuff! There's no fast food close, and the produce is so fresh and yummy that we will automatically eat a bit better! I don't even really go to the grocery store, only once since moving here. We do all of our shopping at the Farmers Market and Costco for the most part. We do hit a cute market around the corner from us when we forget something or need it fast though, since shopping is not super convenient like in AZ.
