Okay... so these IS MY WORDS... coming full circle!!! I have been known to say to my kids that they are retarded (which I then inform them means SLOW TO LEARN!) when they just do not get it! It... could mean any basic skill, rule, etc. that they have failed to once again grasp and in my frustration this phrase gets used a bit. So, I found this note Maddie so lovingly wrote to her little sister. Priceless!
Sidenote... I am not a bad mom so don't be judging me!!! Retarded does mean slow to learn and is not being said to be mean... there are much worse things I could say and try to stick with something simple!
