Maddie's birthday party came a few days before her actual birthday this year. There was a half day at school so we decided to take advantage of it and throw her party that day. She wanted it to be a slumber party but a lot of her friends are still too young for sleepovers so we made it a daytime slumber party instead. All her friends wore their PJ's and brought their sleeping bags and pillows and laid out all over the family room to watch Alvin & the Chipmunks. They feasted on all the junk food you can imagine...popcorn, doritos, licorice, M&M's, tootsie rolls, sodas, etc. Then we had presents and cupcakes. They were angel food cupcakes with swirly purple icing and soooooooo yummy! All her friends danced and played and had a great time!!!!! Her REAL b-day is Wednesday the 9th so we'll have a cake that day or the night before or something and tonight we are going to Granny & Grumpy's after conference to have dinner and cake for a family celebration for her and Faith!!!!

It looks like way more fun than I had that day. The balloons look great! I'm already looking forward to next year's number 8. Baptism dresses here we come.
