Moving...

Yes, I said moving! We have put much thought into this decision and really weighed the pros and cons and our family had a meeting and decided it would be a good adventure! Kevin has been relocated to Santa Barbara, CA as of January 2010 and has been commuting back and forth on multiple flights per week to accomodate work and family.

We have known this could be a possibility for about 2 years and now it is here! We're headed to Solvang, CA (which is where we took our trip at Easter) AND COULD NOT BE MORE EXCITED!!!!! We were tentative to move but the second day of our trip the kids were asking of we could! So, Kevin and I processed all of their opinions for about 2 weeks, had a few family meetings, and then decided to take the plunge! It is really becoming impossible to do things the way we have needed to since this all started in January so, we are very glad the kids were asking to move and are looking forward to it!!!

It is SUCH a beautiful place and the people were so friendly. We have been in touch with the Bishop of the ward there a couple of times now and he seems great. He has given us the low down on the ward members, ages and such to see if there's good opportunities for friends for our kids, etc. There was actually an article in the New Era about the youth of the Solvang Ward!!! It will be a little small town, but not really... kind of like Queen Creek! We've checked out the various schools and demographics, etc. and they will be awesome schools!

Daron will be starting football in August, Maddie soccer, and Kaitlin into club volleyball until school tryouts! There is a really cute little community theater where Kaitlin can possibly do some acting and the whole family can see whatever is playing month to month.

We'll be packing up the last day of school, sending Kaitlin and Daron off to Texas for a few weeks, and leaving AZ behind for awhile, until our first visit of many of course!!!! Of course, my blog will be kept oh so current as to stay in touch!!!! We will miss all of our peeps, but visit often and expect visitors as well!!!!! :)
