Maddie Turns 10!!!!!!!!!

Maddie turned 10!!!!  She decided she wanted a party with friends with yummy food and games!  So, she invited 5 of her friends, helped plan what they wanted to eat and what they could play.  Dinner was Pizza and bread sticksthere were lots of snacks (way too many probably!) and instead of cake she wanted brownie ice cream sundaes!!!  They played hide and seek for hours, jumped on the tramp and played games out there, drew pictures and created fasion designs I believe and finished out the night with some karaoke!  I can't believe she's 10... it really does go by fast.  She is the sweetest kid ever and I LOVE having her as my daughter!  She is such a talented soccer player an becoming a fantastic artist!!!  We love her so much and are proud of her every day!!!!  :)

Easter Dresses!!!!

Believe it or not we got these great, smiley shots of the girls AFTER church even!!!!!  They looked beautiful and church was a wonderful reminder of what Easter is really all about. 

Easter Egg Decorating and Hunting...

 We just had the two little girls for Easter this year and it was quiet, but fun!  Emmy finally got to help a bit and realized she could do everything Lauren was doing, so that made it special!  I love watching them grow up and be so excited about things!!!  That's one of the best things about having kids and watching them as they experience all the fun stuff in life!!!

Emmy's Speech...

Emmy is working on learning new words and how to talk.  A really sweet speech pathologist (????) comes and helps her to learn new sounds and everything through playing and drawing, etc.  She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES it!!!  Always happy to see her friend!!!  She builds up these blocks and counts to 3 and knocks them down.  Good to see some progress at least!

Granny outdid herself on my pretty new, VERY LARGE afgan!  She is so talented and I hope to learn some of her stuff someday when life slows down a bit!  THANK YOU MOM!!!!  It is the favorite blanket around here for movie nights and stuff!

2011 Snow Mobile Trip...

This year did not disappoint!  It was a total WHITEOUT!!!  It snowed the entire time we were At Daniels Summit this go round and was beautiful and COLD!  We rode snow mobiles, played in the snow, took lots of pics, ate REALLY good, etc. all kid free and clean-up free for me!!!!  Thanks Babe for winning this trip the last 2 years and being my hot date!  Can't wait for next year!!!

Anne Frank Project...

Kaitlin and a friend had to do this project for English I believe.  They worked for 4 hours to get it all just right!!!  It was a good idea and they followed through beautifully!  They showed all of the people who lived with the Franks in the hiding place and the room they lived in and a little about them.  It also had quotes from Anne Frank all over it as well!  She is very creative indeedy!

Brooklyns Blessing...

Went to AZ in April to see Heidi & Bryce's cute little baby blessed!  SOOOOOOOOO Happy for them and it was sweet to see what good parents they are to Brooklyn!  Loved holding a little baby again (cuz we are DONE!) and Kevin ALWAYS loves holding cute babes!  We had an early Easter with the Goodwin family before leaving and it really was a fun, but short trip.

I am not a lover of hot dogs or corndogs... but Emmy wanted to try one on our road trip.   She was doing it wrong!  Other side is the yummy one I would think!

Maddies First Time Hosting...

Madison really wanted to give her teacher, Mrs. Rohwedder, a baby shower before she left for the year.  So, we had a few planning meeting with 3 of her friends and got to work making arrangements to do a SURPRISE shower the last day the teacher would be there before taking her leave.  I arranged to go to the school during lunch and decorate the room and meet the kids when the bell rang and explain the surprise to them.  We turned out the lights and handed each student a pink "It's a Girl" balloon and when she walked in they jumped up and yelled "SURPRISE", while throwing their ballon into the air!  It was a room FULL of PINK!!   It was sooooo sweet of Maddie and Mrs. Rohwedder was really touched by it all!  She loves maddie and was so happy to have her in her class this year.  It was the first year at Oak Valley for both of them!  Congrats to her work Maddie!
